My Approach

I believe each client is unique and enters therapy with individual needs, and as such, I adjust my clinical approach to meet the needs of each client. I am, however, a firm believer in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Positive Psychology. I believe it is not what happens to us, but rather what our thoughts tell us about what is happening, that ultimately causes us suffering. Our perceptions determine our thoughts and our behaviors. I believe that spirituality, not to be confused with any particular religion, is extremely important to our emotional evolution. However, we will discuss spirituality as much, or as little, as you wish. This is YOUR journey!

I believe the relationship between a client and their therapist is sacred. It should be based on mutual respect, compassion, and authenticity. While therapy can be challenging at times, it should also be exciting and fun.
